Program Overview

For more than 30 years, the Master in Science in Economics has been preparing graduates with the skills for success. In 1990, the Belk College established the graduate degree based on the new field of information technology and data analytics. Today, alumni of this nationally-ranked program are driving business as economists in various industries, including finance, public policy and entrepreneurship.

Our comprehensive program combines economic analysis with advanced quantitative methods to prepare students for analytical and management positions in a variety of industries. The M.S. in Economics features a curriculum that is flexible yet thorough in its approach to theoretical training and applied course work.
